Dan Wegrzyniak has worked in the IT industry for over 30 years including notable companies such as First Data, General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin and Alion/AECOM and holds a Secret Security Clearance due to his work with the Department of Defense.

At First Data, he was one of several Network Engineers that worked on the First Data Merchant Services wide area network. He was responsible for network design, implementation, backup and supporting First Data Merchant Services network users. The WAN consisted of nearly 2200 Windows XP/NT4.0/Windows 2000 workstations, 20 Novell 6.5/5.1/4.11 file servers, 300+ Microsoft 2000/2003/NT 4.0 applications and Microsoft SQL/Oracle servers. He also implemented ZENWorks 4.0 for Desktops to utilize directory-enabled desktop inventory, software delivery, management policies and remote control.

At KRM Associations/Patriot Technologies, Dan worked as a Network Security Engineer maintaining the IBM/ISS Proventia Desktop/Server and Firewall installation for the Veterans Administration Enterprise. The implementation consisted of 75 Windows 2003 servers, 25 Microsoft 2005 SQL servers in 25 regional data centers with nearly 250,000 agents. He implemented redundant image-based backups for all servers using Symantec LiveState Recovery Server and enabled advanced SNMP monitoring using Orion (Solarwinds) Network Performance Monitor. Assisted with the support of the VMWare ESXi 3.5/SAN lab environment to enable snapshotting and testing of new operating systems, applications, and monthly intrusion prevention updates.

Dan Wegrzyniak also worked as a Senior Systems Engineer supporting a 40-server/6000 user Microsoft Windows 2003 Active Directory/Microsoft Exchange 2003/SQL 2000 network. His team maintained the clustered hardware, operating systems, critical updates, McAfee 8 EPO Anti-virus and Veritas backups. At Lockheed Martin, Dan worked as a Principal Information Engineer maintaining a Department of Defense (DOD) Information Technology data center environment. He supported the existing Windows 2003 Active Directory domain along with 300+ servers. He assisted with the planning of the migration of a IBM blade Citrix server farm to a new domain. He also provided senior-level engineering services for virtualizing three data centers using clustered VMware vSphere 4 ESXi Enterprise Plus. Dan also performed the same functionality using Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 and the clustered Hyper-V role plus implemented two clustered VMware View 4.5 environments for desktop virtualization. The environment included several HP C-Class C7000 Blade servers and EVA 8000 fiber channel SAN hardware in a high-availability/fully redundant configuration.
