George Obiozor oversees IT Security Assessments for our clients and helps uncover cybersecurity risks including endpoint security, password management, backup and disaster recovery, web security and implementation of cybersecurity solutions including multi factor authentication, single sign on, zero trust, advanced email threat protection, security awareness training and cybersecurity incident plans.

Professional Background

George Obiozor began his IT career as an intern at the state of Maryland’s Department of Education in conjunction with Maryland’s Department of Juvenile Services as a service desk field tech, where he honed his skills while going forward to working for the Department of Information Technology of Maryland as a Network Specialist. George attended and graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor’s in Cybersecurity Management & Policy.

He has worked in a variety of IT roles including Systems Engineer with S.O.S Technology Group where he developed skills to manage MS Office 365 administration, and server migration, software, and hardware analysis/upgrades/patching. He also administered group policies for various systems in Active Directory in his role to enable and regulate how systems respond to end users in an enterprise environment. He pushed updates after hours remotely to enable users to access resources for critical security updates and essential software.

George also worked for Howard County Government in the state of Maryland as a Systems Administrator responsible for deploying, managing, maintaining and upgrading softwares/hardwares based on recommendations via Microsoft and vendors in conjunction with his expertise. He also deployed software applications via Software Manager in SCCM on Windows Server 2012 to enable end users and the support team’s use case.

George Obiozor also works as a Cybersecurity Engineer for the U.S. Navy at Walter Reed National Medical Center. He is part of a team that scans for vulnerabilities, documents and assesses the security posture’s readiness in accordance with Department of Defense (DOD) policies and regulations with NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) best practices and procedures.
