Andrea Oberle is a Virtual Assistant at TechnologyWest, with administrative and graphic design experience in both corporate and academic environments.

Responsibilities

Andrea is responsible for researching and gathering information for TechnologyWest’s sales and marketing team as well as assisting with administrative duties.

Professional Background

Andrea Oberle started work in the Silicon Valley of California, writing high-tech user manuals and laying out a bi-monthly high-tech newsletter. After a move to Boston in her early 20’s, Andrea began working for Harvard University, where she was an administrative assistant for the Harvard College Fund and then the Harvard Law School. It was during this time that Andrea began attending the New England School of Art and Design and worked part-time as an editorial assistant at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. When she moved to Connecticut to get married, Andrea worked for COCC, Inc, as an administrative assistant for Graphics, producing the company’s annual reports, PowerPoint presentations and brochures as well as doing debit card design for local banks. When she began homeschooling her children, Andrea Oberle continued to work part-time at COCC. A move to the Florida panhandle for her husband’s job led to a new job at the Emerald Coast Association of Realtors, where Andrea worked as a receptionist and administrative assistant, while continuing to home school her younger son. Now empty-nesters, Andrea and her husband recently moved to Grand Junction, Colorado where Andrea began working with TechnologyWest.

Education

Andrea Oberle studied Technical Writing at San Jose State University in California and Graphic Design at the New England School of Art & Design, in Boston, Massachusetts.

Personal

Andrea loves nature (and therefore loves Grand Junction!), art, music of all kinds (especially classic and progressive rock and 70’s folk), getting lost in a good book, conducting all kinds of research, learning as much as she can about natural health and food-as-medicine and spending time with family and good friends. She enjoys scouring thrift stores and consignment shops for treasures and creating a warm and inviting environment in her home. To stay active, Andrea enjoys walking her two rescue collie/shepherd dogs and cycling with her husband, a chiropractor at the Grand Junction VA. She is also a certified Myers-Briggs practitioner and is fascinated by understanding what makes different people tick. Andrea is working on her second novel (just for fun, not published…yet!) and can get lost for hours reading or writing.
