He holds Top Secret Clearance status in his work with the United States Marine Corps (USMC). He is skilled in Network Security, Change/Configuration Management, Vulnerability Management, Systems Engineering, Software Documentation, Information Assurance, Information Security, Identity Management and Risk Management Framework. As a Senior IT Security Consultant for TechnologyWest, Quentin Lambert provides technical analysis and recommendations to our clients in minimizing cybersecurity risks and also assists with compliancy requirements.

Quentin Lambert assists our clients with CMMC, NIST, PCI, SOX, SOC2, CJIS and HIPPA compliancy requirements and preparation for audits plus oversees IT Security Assessments for our clients.

Professional Background

Quentin Lambert began his IT career as an officer in the US Army where he rose to the rank of Captain and received the US Army’s certification as a Telecommunication Computer Operator at the US Army Signal School in Fort Gordon, Georgia. After being honorably discharged from the US Army, Quentin attended and graduated Alabama State University with a Bachelor’s in Computer Science Degree.

He has worked in a variety of IT roles including Systems Engineer with Northrop Grumman where he attained a Secret Security Clearance to administer security policies for web and email traffic and perform tactical and capacity testing for recommended software and hardware upgrades. He also implemented Identity Access Management processes to allow remote users to access resources for critical security updates and essential software. He also provided risk assessments to enterprise sites requesting installation of additional software applications that were outside of established IT security baselines.

Quentin also worked for IBM as lead technician in charge of site installation team for hardware and software upgrades. He was responsible for installation and configuration of multiple networked PC’s, IB mainframe servers, Cisco routers and switches with VLAN and ensuring port security.

He also served as Team Lead and Senior Systems Engineer at General Dynamics for the Combined Enterprise Regional Exchange Systems (CENTRIXS) GCTF and ISAF networks supporting US Army units deployed in Kuwait, Afghanistan and the rest of Southwest Asia. Qentin assisted with the installation and configuration of the initial VMware implementation converting physical servers to a virtualized server environment. He also managed domain controllers, exchange servers, file servers, print servers, backup servers, WSUS and anti-virus servers. He utilized SolarWinds application to monitor system and network performance on an enterprise network environment and performed Information Assurance tasks with network scanning tools such as eEye Retina vulnerability scanner to ensure the network security posture ran at a 100% level. He also utilized Identity Access Management processes in creating user accounts on secure networks based on security clearance levels.

He was later promoted as a Senior Information Assurance Engineer at General Dynamics where he supported US Army units deployed in Kuwait, Afghanistan and the rest of Southwest Asia. In this role, Quentin developed, reviewed, monitored and executed current IA policies/procedures/activities with the goal of ensuring information security (INFOSEC) on a global data enterprise network for US and partner forces to share classified operational/intelligence information in peacekeeping and contingency operations. He served as lead engineer on Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) mandated project to install, configure and operate Assured Compliance Assessment Solutions (ACAS) vulnerability scanning tool on multiple Department of Defense (DOD) networks. He also utilized V-Sphere and V-Center clients to access virtualized environment to conduct vulnerability checks and ensure patches and software security updates have been applied.

Quentin Lambert also works as a Senior Cybersecurity Consultant for USMC clients in a fast-paced demanding logistics and supply chain environment developing strategies to help Information System Owners achieve and sustain maximum information systems accountability and information systems controls audit readiness in accordance with Department of Defense (DOD) policies and regulations and NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) best practices and procedures.
